Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we collect and use personal data. It follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, for visitors in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Tareg Global Academy Limited, No. 9 Location Road, Mgbuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under number 9851849 and represented by its Managing Director, Dr Tarinumu Egbuson. Email: support@taregacademy.com, phone: +49 176 3033 4094. Full company details are in our Impressum.
2. Visiting this website
When you open this website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages), automatically records technical data in server log files: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and your browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (NDPA; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare keeps these logs only for a limited period and processes them on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and loads no external fonts.
3. Contact form and email
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. The form is delivered to our inbox by Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA), which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. If you email or phone us directly, we receive the details you give us.
We use these details only to answer your enquiry and, if you request a course, to arrange it with you. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before agreeing a course with you, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your message (NDPA; Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete them once your enquiry is fully dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
4. Donations
Donations are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Dublin, Ireland) or PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg), depending on which you choose. You enter your payment details on their pages, never on this website. We receive your name, email address, the amount and the date, but not your full card details. Stripe and PayPal process your data under their own privacy policies: Stripe privacy policy, PayPal privacy policy.
Legal basis: processing the payment you asked for, and our legal obligation to keep payment records (NDPA; Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We keep these records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
5. Students under 18
Many of our students are children. If a student is under 18, a parent or guardian should contact us and request courses on the student’s behalf. We collect only the details needed to arrange and teach the course, and we do not knowingly collect a child’s data through this website without a parent’s or guardian’s involvement.
6. Transfers outside Nigeria
Our service providers process data outside Nigeria: Cloudflare, which delivers this website through its global network and is based in the USA, Formspree in the USA, and Stripe and PayPal in the European Union. We use these providers only with safeguards recognised under the NDPA and the GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and also uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Formspree hosts its service on Amazon Web Services in the USA and protects transfers with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Under the NDPA and the GDPR, you have the right to:
- be told how your data is used, and get a copy of it;
- have incorrect data corrected, and have your data deleted;
- restrict how we use your data, or object to it where we rely on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To use any of these rights, email support@taregacademy.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng). If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
8. Changes
We update this policy when our website or services change. Last updated: 3 November 2026.
